God Bless You! and
Welcome to Echoes Of Christ
Where we live.
Where we love.
✞
O Lord God, the Father almighty, you inspire our prayers, and you are ready to hear them. Turn your merciful ears to our cry, pity us, and loose the bonds of our sins; through Jesus Christ, your Son our Lord, Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen.
Christmas & The Nativity
O THOU GOD AND FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whose grace we again celebrate the birth of our Savior,
we come into Thy presence with holy joy,
for Thou hast gloriously fulfilled Thy promises,
given to our first parents after the Fall, to the Patriarchs,
to Moses and the Prophets,
and to all Thy people of old,
who waited in hope for the Salvation of Israel.
Accept, we beseech Thee, our humble tribute of praise and thanksgiving,
and grant that through the birth of Thy Son
we may be born again in the spirit
unto the blessed hope of everlasting life.
O Jesus, Thou Son of God,
we bless Thee for becoming flesh of our flesh
and for enriching us with inestimable gifts from the treasures of Thy grace.
Thou hast made reconciliation for iniquity,
so that now we have peace with God and access to the Father.
Thou didst become the Son of Man,
that we might be made the children of God in Thee.
Bestow upon us a simple, childlike faith,
that in Thy lowliness we may adore Thee;
and give us grace to behold the glory shining through the veil of Thy humanity,
the glory of the Only-Begotten of the Father,
full of grace and truth.
Speak to us the words of life,
that, as Thou hast loved us, so we may also love Thee.
Be our Light in darkness,
our Abundance in want,
and our very present Help in trouble.
And as Thou didst descend from heaven to earth for our salvation,
so may we have power to ascend from earth to heaven,
to the glory of Thy great and adorable name.
O Holy Spirit,
we praise Thee for Thy comfort and guidance.
Incline our hearts to meditate devoutly on the sublime mystery of the Nativity,
and help us to embrace our Redeemer, in true faith, as our most precious possession.
Fill our hearts
with peace,
and comfort,
and hope,
and life,
and joy in Him.
Let us so keep the feast that at its close, with Thy benediction upon us,
we may resume the burdens of our several callings,
rejoicing in our salvation
and delighting to do Thy will.
O Holy Trinity,
who wouldst be praised for mercy rather than judgment,
we glorify Thee;
for Thou hast had respect unto the lowly.
Let Thy covenant of peace endure forevermore,
that we may rejoice in Thee,
world without end.
Amen.
Salutation & Collect
From the rising of the sun to it’s setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised
Almighty and everlasting God, You have given us grace to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity by the confession of a true faith and t worship the Unity in the power of the Divine Majesty. Keep us steadfast in this faith and defend us from all adversities; for You, O Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, live and reign, one God, now and forever.
Amen.

Life Thoughts
Whether the hamlet of Bethlehem (Micah 5:2) or gestating babies (Luke 1:41-44), the God of Christmas loves to elevate what seems insignificant. Indeed, the heart of the Gospel consists in exalting those of humble estate (Luke 1:52). Rejoicing in the Lord who creates, redeems, and calls regardless of size, skills, or circumstances, the sanctity of life delights to declare nothing less!
Life Thoughts in the Church Year (LSB Three-Year Lectionary)
——————————————————————————————————————-
“May God send an army of angels to protect the babies in the womb from the laws being enacted in some states that are taking away protections for God’s smallest, most vulnerable humans. May hearts be changed with the truths found in Scripture. And may the influence the devil has on our society, with his culture of death, be deposed.”

Entrance Psalm
Restore Us, O God
1 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel,
you who lead Joseph like a flock.
You who are enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth.
2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh,
stir up your might
and come to save us!
3 Restore us, O God;
let your face shine, that we may be saved!
4 O Lord God of hosts,
how long will you be angry with your people’s prayers?
5 You have fed them with the bread of tears
and given them tears to drink in full measure.
6 You make us an object of contention for our neighbors,
and our enemies laugh among themselves.
7 Restore us, O God of hosts;
let your face shine, that we may be saved!
